What is People Development?

People development in the South African context is the process whereby persons within the economically active population (EAP) are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attributes they need to function successfully in the country’s economy. People development where it occurs within the employment relationship is often referred to as employee development

Employee development focuses on equipping employees with the necessary knowledge, skills and attributes to function successful in their appointed roles, and to (where so identified) to prepare them for a higher level of responsibility.
